The Fall Edit

Things We’re Loving This Season

As autumn settles in, we’re reflecting on the ideas, places, and inspirations shaping our work. From standout showhouses to emerging design trends and exciting moments in our community, this season has been full of meaningful discoveries. Here’s what we’re loving this fall.

1. Showhouse Season

Fall always brings out the best in design, and this year is no exception. From the Nashville Parade of Homes to the elegant FLOWER Magazine Showhouse, we’ve been immersed in spaces that celebrate creativity, craftsmanship, and thoughtful storytelling.

Each home offers a unique point of view—from layered materials and inviting palettes to architectural details that make a space feel personal and lived in. These showhouses continue to inspire how we think about scale, contrast, and the role of timeless finishes.

2. Lessons from BDNY

Our team traveled to BDNY to explore the ever-evolving intersection of luxury, hospitality, and residential design.

A few themes stood out:

Escapism as a New Luxury

Ultra-luxury is shifting from extravagance to experience—spaces that feel meaningful, tactile, and deeply connected to place. Designers spoke about:

  • Rarity as a design value
  • Discrete maximalism
  • Turning cities into the hotel itself
  • Regenerative design + giving back locally
  • Wellness as experience, not amenity

Residential x Hospitality

Hospitality is becoming more “home,” and home is embracing hospitality. Extended-stay concepts, branded residences, and full-apartment offerings reflect a desire for comfort layered with service—a “home away from home” that still feels elevated.

The Evolving Design Firm

Designers are being asked to do more—branding, storytelling, visualization, and client experience now sit alongside interiors. Renderings matter. End users matter. Creative strategy matters. Good design is good business.

BDNY reminded us that the future of design is personal, intentional, and deeply human.

3. New Openings at the Charleston Navy Yard

Charleston’s Design District continues to grow—and we’re excited to be part of it.

This fall, Kravet officially opened their Navy Yard showroom, and Schumacher is joining soon. Together, these additions reinforce the district as a true creative hub, offering designers a curated ecosystem of materials, textiles, millwork, and inspiration.

It’s energizing to watch this community evolve—and to see our neighbors bring such thoughtful vision to the district.

4. Nashville’s MICHELIN Moment

It’s official: Nashville is on the culinary map. ✨

Congratulations to Bastion, Locust, and The Catbird Seat for earning the city’s first MICHELIN Stars.

We love supporting local excellence—whether it’s in craftsmanship, design, or the culinary arts—and this recognition is well deserved. It’s a win for Nashville’s creative community and a reminder of how much talent lives in this city.

5. Fall Tones We Can’t Get Enough Of

This season, we’re drawn to warm neutrals and grounded hues—golden browns, layered taupes, and soft organic tones that bring natural depth into every space.

Our newest Foundation Collection tones, F-18 and F-20, reflect exactly that.

  • F-18: Cooler, lighter, and airy
  • F-20: Rich, warm, honeyed depth

Both feel effortlessly timeless and perfectly in step with the season.

Upon reflection, it becomes clear why this season feels so meaningful in the world of design. It nudges us toward warmth, toward intention, toward spaces that feel both lived in and deeply considered. Whether it is walking a showhouse layered with craft, discovering innovations at BDNY, or celebrating the creative energy in our own cities, this time of year always seems to bring a renewed sense of inspiration.

At Textures, we are grateful to collaborate with the designers, builders, and homeowners who make this work so rewarding. Your vision continues to challenge us, refine us, and push us toward better craftsmanship and deeper storytelling.

Thank you for being part of our community—and for letting us play a role in the spaces you bring to life.

Here’s to a season of creativity, connection, and homes that feel grounded in beauty.

Happy Thanksgiving from the entire Textures team.
