What to Expect at Our Showroom
Visiting our showroom is the best way to explore Textures’ custom hardwoods up close. Whether you’re selecting materials, refining your design, or seeking expert guidance, our team is here to help. Below are answers to some common questions to make your visit seamless.
Do I need an appointment to visit the Charleston showroom?
No appointment is necessary—our design team is available during showroom hours to assist you. However, if you’d like one-on-one guidance and more time to explore custom options, finishes, and materials, we recommend scheduling an appointment to ensure you have our full attention.
Can I take hardwood samples home from the showroom?
In most cases, yes! We have hardwood samples available for many of our signature collections, which you can take home or have shipped to you.
For fully custom materials, samples are created specifically for your design. Since these are made to precise specifications, they aren’t available in advance, but we’ll work closely with you to develop the perfect options and provide sample variations once they’re crafted. If you’re local, we’ll schedule a follow-up to review them in person, or we can ship a curated sample box directly to you.
What’s the process for customizing my hardwood?
Our customization process is highly collaborative and tailored to your project’s exact needs. Here’s how it works:
- Consultation & Specifications – We start by understanding your design vision, performance needs, and aesthetic preferences. This includes discussing wood species, color, texture, finish, and any specialty details.
- Sample Development – Since every fully custom project is made to order, we work with our mills to create multiple sample variations based on your specifications. These are refined until we achieve the perfect look.
- Approval & Production – Once your sample is finalized, we move into full-scale production, carefully crafting each plank to highlight its natural beauty, character, and depth.
- Delivery & Installation – Your custom hardwood is delivered and ready for installation, seamlessly integrating into your space.
If you’re in Charleston, we invite you to the showroom to explore our materials in person. For clients outside the area, we ship handcrafted sample boxes so you can review and approve your selections before production.
